MALÉ, Maldives — Addressing 311 graduates of Maldives National University, President Dr. Mohammed Muizzu urged the young cohort to embrace “positive thinking” and self-confidence as they face future challenges.

He recounted the long hours spent in the laboratory while completing his Ph.D. in civil engineering in the United Kingdom, noting that resilience and commitment were crucial to overcoming hardship. “Your journey should not be forgotten,” he told the graduates, adding that courage in the face of trials can bring “success for you, your family, and our nation.”
