In a celebration of three years dedicated to service excellence and efficient airport management, the Regional Airports Company Limited (RACL) expressed gratitude to its workforce, partners, and valued travelers for their integral role in the company’s journey thus far. Established on September 30, 2020, by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih under the Presidential decree empowered by the Company’s Act, RACL was officially incorporated and registered on January 11, 2021, as a fully state-owned enterprise.

Currently managing six airports, namely H. Dh. Hanimaadhoo Airport, H. Dh. Kulhudhufushi Airport, Sh, Funadhoo Aiport, HA. Hoarafushi Airport, G.Dh. Maavarulu Airport, and Fuvahmulah Airport, RACL has positioned itself as a crucial player in the Maldivian aviation landscape. Each airport, strategically scattered across the islands, offers unique cultural aspects and picturesque landscapes, contributing to the rich tapestry of the Maldives.

For instance, Fuvahmulah Island boasts a one-of-a-kind nature conservatory, while being the only single-island atoll. The unique patterns of ocean currents create an ideal environment for pelagic fishes, including the majestic tiger sharks, making each airport not just a transportation hub but also a gateway to the cultural and natural wonders of the Maldives.

As RACL commemorates its three-year milestone, the company remains committed to operating aerodromes and managing airport functions efficiently and sustainably, ensuring a seamless travel experience for all visitors to the picturesque Maldivian islands.
