Government Establishes Three Committees to Provide Expert Counsel to Minister of Health

In a strategic move to address critical challenges in the health sector, the government has taken the decision to institute three advisory committees to guide and counsel the Minister of Health. Principal Secretary to the President on Public Policy, Abdullah Nazim Ibrahim, unveiled this significant development during a press conference, shedding light on the government’s proactive initiative.

According to Nazim, the government has opted to assemble three specialized committees, drawing on the expertise of seasoned professionals with a rich history of service in the health sector. The primary objective is to harness the knowledge and insights of these experienced individuals to formulate effective solutions for the major issues confronting the health sector.

The three committees established are the Health Advisory Committee, entrusted with offering comprehensive advice; the Public Health Advisory Committee, focusing on matters of public health; and the Curative Health Advisory Committee, specializing in solutions for curative measures.
