National Build Expo Kicks Off with a Focus on Sustainable Construction

The eagerly awaited 3rd edition of the National Build Expo has officially commenced, ushering in a four-day showcase of innovation and advancements in the construction industry. The prestigious event was inaugurated by the esteemed Minister of Climate, Environment, and Energy, Tariq Ibrahim, underlining the government’s commitment to fostering sustainable practices in the sector.

Taking place at Central Park in HulhuMale’, the National Build Expo is geared towards expanding and enhancing the services and products offered by construction, structural development, and construction companies in the Maldives. The expo, scheduled from  11th to 14th of this month, serves as a platform for industry leaders, professionals, and enthusiasts to exchange ideas and explore the latest trends in construction and development.

One of the key focal points of the expo is the sustainable growth of the construction sector, which is currently experiencing an impressive annual growth rate of 7.7 percent. Minister Tariq Ibrahim, in his opening address, emphasized the pivotal role of sustainable practices in shaping the future of the construction industry and ensuring environmental responsibility.

With more than 70 companies participating in the expo, attendees can expect a diverse array of construction-related services and products on display. These companies, ranging from established industry leaders to emerging enterprises, will showcase their expertise, cutting-edge technologies, and sustainable solutions to the public.
