MALÉ  — The Bank of Maldives (BML) has implemented a series of upgrades to its mobile application and internet banking platforms, aiming to streamline how customers access and request banking services.

A central feature of this update is the improvement of ‘Aaya’, the bank’s AI-powered chatbot. The bank states that this upgrade will allow for more rapid resolution of customer inquiries and facilitate a more efficient application process for banking services. Furthermore, the updated system ensures that if a customer requires additional assistance, they retain the option to be connected to a bank representative through the ‘Aaya’ interface.

As part of these improvements, the bank announced that the messaging feature previously utilised within the mobile and internet banking platforms will be discontinued. BML has described these changes as part of an ongoing commitment to refining its digital infrastructure, with the goal of providing more reliable and user-friendly banking services.
