MALE’, Maldives — In what might be called an innovative approach to airport hospitality, Male’s Velana International Airport is bracing for an unusual surge in CIP lounge bookings tomorrow, though not for the reasons one might expect in this luxury tourism destination.

The anticipated gathering stems from a helpful public service announcement circulating in local tourism groups, thoughtfully suggesting that those planning to bid farewell to Bollywood actress Sunny Leone should “book CIP services… for a smoother and more comfortable experience.”

The notice, posted with considerable civic responsibility, even included a domestic diplomacy advisory: “Please don’t mention this at home” — a testament to the delicate balance between public enthusiasm and domestic tranquility.

“It’s touching to see such meticulous planning for a guest departure,” said an airport staff member in the group, who brought the matter to our attention, speaking on condition of anonymity while barely containing their amusement. “Though I suspect our usual luxury travelers might find the lounge surprisingly crowded tomorrow!”

The phenomenon adds an unexpected chapter to Maldives’ reputation for high-end tourism, suggesting that some departures warrant more attention than others — at least among a certain demographic of local hospitality enthusiasts.

As the notice circulates, it remains to be seen how many civic-minded individuals will answer this call to demonstrate the famous Maldivian welcome — or in this case, farewell — spirit. Though if past patterns hold, the CIP lounge may need to revise its capacity estimates, if only for one particularly well-attended departure.
