MALE’ — The Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises has issued a public tender seeking qualified contractors to construct a dedicated e-sports arena within Sultan Park, a historic public space in the capital. The infrastructure project, initiated at the request of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing, and Urban Development, represents part of a broader state interest in developing modern recreational facilities for the country’s youth and competitive gaming communities. Local and international firms meeting the statutory requirements are invited to submit their bids for the construction phase.

According to the state announcement, the procurement and selection process will strictly adhere to national construction regulations, standard public tendering limits for infrastructure allocation, and the foreign direct investment policies managed by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.

To clarify project specifications and architectural guidelines, the finance ministry will host a virtual pre-bid informational meeting for interested contractors on Monday, 6 July, using Microsoft Teams.
