A modern bowling arena and gaming arcade will be developed on the vacant plot at Ruhgandu 2 in Hulhumalé Phase 1, an area currently used for commercial and community events.
Housing Development Corporation (HDC) aims to turn the area into a popular entertainment hub for locals, families, youth, and visiting tourists.
The new development will feature a 10-lane bowling alley, a gaming arcade, and a multipurpose hall designed for parties and community gatherings. Plans also include a dedicated viewing area for spectators, locker rooms, public restrooms, outdoor shower facilities for beachgoers, and allocated parking space.
HDC highlighted that the project design prioritizes environmental preservation, ensuring minimal impact on the nearby beach, existing trees, and natural surroundings.
According to HDC, the transformation of Ruhgandu 2 will create a safe, vibrant space for sports and recreation while strengthening community ties across Hulhumalé. HDC noted that it remains committed to continuously upgrading Hulhumalé into a comfortable and secure environment for residents and visitors alike.
