The President of the Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, issued a strong condemnation of Israel’s military aggression in Lebanon, calling for immediate global intervention to hold Israel accountable. In a statement posted on his official account on the social media platform X, Muizzu decried the violence that has led to the loss of civilian lives and mass displacement.

“I strongly condemn the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, which has resulted in the killing of innocent civilians and the displacement and injury of thousands,” Muizzu said.

The President described the Israeli military actions as a violation of both international law and humanitarian principles. He urged the international community to respond decisively by imposing an immediate ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza, and to hold Israel responsible for its actions.

“The world must act now,” Muizzu said, underscoring the need for urgent global intervention to restore peace and prevent further escalation in the region.
