30 Complaints Filed; Voting Continues Without Major Issues
EC Vice‑President Abdul Rahman Solah Rasheed says that 30 complaints have been submitted so far. He said voting is continuing smoothly at all polling stations, with no major disruptions reported.
Some complaints relate to the visibility of the ballot paper while voters mark their ballots, due to the placement of the booths. Rasheed said minor adjustments have been made to improve privacy.
According to the EC, the most common complaints so far include:
- Requests for information
- Concerns that a ballot paper placed in the wrong box would be invalid
- Limited space inside some polling stations
- Dissatisfaction with the behaviour of ballot box officials
- Campaigning during prohibited hours
- Unusually hot conditions at some stations
