Nominations will be open to individuals, project teams, non-governmental organisations, and public and private institutions across ten distinct categories:

  1. Engineer of the Year
  2. Lifetime Achievement Award
  3. Young Engineer Award (restricted to nominees under 30)
  4. Women in Engineering Award
  5. Engineering Innovation, Technology, Education and Research Award
  6. Sustainability Champion Award
  7. Engineering Consultant / Consultancy Firm of the Year
  8. Student Innovator Award
  9. Community Impact Award
  10. Contractor of the Year Award

Eligibility for project and team-based honours extends to government agencies, state-owned enterprises, engineering firms, independent contractors, consultancy groups, and academic research teams.

An independent seven-member evaluation committee will review all submissions. Nominees must complete prescribed application forms and provide supporting documentation before the upcoming deadline.
