The Ministry of Finance has opened international bidding to select a contractor to build a 50-bed psychiatric hospital in Hulhumalé.
The project, requested by the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development, is being carried out under International Competitive Bidding (ICB) rules in line with state procurement regulations.
Bidding is open to eligible contractors registered under grades GC01 (Grades 1 through 7) under the construction regulations of the Infrastructure Ministry. The project will also adhere to the Ministry of Economic Development, Transport and Trade’s Foreign Direct Investment Policy.
Interested contractors must pay a non-refundable registration fee of MVR 1,500 via the Bandeyri Pay portal between September 23 and October 20. Bidding documents will be available for download from the Finance Ministry’s website starting September 24.
Bidders must submit a bid security of MVR 864,000, valid for 148 days from the bid opening date. A pre-bid meeting is set for October 7 at 10:00 AM via Microsoft Teams, with the deadline for submitting queries set for October 8 at 1:00 PM.
Final bids must be submitted through the state Beelan Portal before 1:00 PM on October 25. Bids will be opened at 11:00 AM on October 26. The ministry noted that contractors must complete portal registration at least three days prior to the bid submission deadline.
