MALE’, Maldives — Former Maldivian Presidents Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom, Mohamed Nasheed, and Ibrahim Mohamed Solih extended warm welcomes to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday for his state visit.

Gayyoom and Nasheed expressed optimism about strengthened ties via social media, while Solih praised the visit as a testament to enduring India-Maldives relations, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of Maldives’ independence.
