The President’s Office held the fifth session of its ongoing leadership development program for senior state officials on Thursday at the Maldives National University (MNU) main auditorium in Malé.
The multi-year initiative, dubbed the “Senior Officials’ Skills and Capability Enhancement Program 2025–2027,” brought together a large number of senior executives and political appointees from various ministries and state institutions.
Thursday’s session was led by veteran business trainer Mohamed Kaleem, who brings over three decades of experience across leadership training and social service. Kaleem focused his presentation on practical strategies for managing workplace challenges and navigating operational hurdles in leadership roles.
First launched as a two-year capacity-building drive, the program is spearheaded by the Political Appointees Performance Management and Capacity Development Section under the President’s Office Political and Parliamentary Affairs department.
It is being rolled out jointly with the Civil Service Training Institute (CSTI) and the Foreign Service Institute of the Maldives (FOSIM).
