On the second day of the Maldives Build Expo 2026, Steel Hardware is drawing strong attention with a broadened portfolio that reflects the changing needs of the country’s construction, resort and marine sectors. The expo, held at Hulhumalé Central Park from 16 to 19 April, remains the key platform for industry players seeking durable, climate ready materials for the Maldives.

At this year’s exhibition, Steel Hardware is placing particular emphasis on expanding its professional tool range and introducing high performance building products designed to withstand the country’s tropical conditions.

Adegso takes the spotlight as Steel Hardware unveils its new power tool line at the expo, with the official Maldives launch of Adegso Power Tools forming the centrepiece of the booth, offering contractors and serious DIY users a range built for ergonomic handling and high torque performance, while visitors test the tools on site alongside Steel Hardware’s long established selection of precision hand tools that continue to anchor the company’s professional offering.

Following the power tools showcase, Steel Hardware is also drawing attention to its exclusive role as the sole distributor of Nagoya, a brand trusted across the boating and fishing community for its strength, reliability and consistent performance in demanding marine environments. Nagoya batteries have become a preferred choice for dhonis and other vessels that require dependable power, with the brand’s engineering standards reinforcing its reputation among boat owners and the wider fishing fleet.

“Our focus this year is on bringing in products that genuinely meet the demands of the Maldivian environment,” said Steel Hardware Managing Director Ali Fauzy. “Contractors, resort developers and boat owners rely on materials that perform consistently, and we are committed to supplying brands that deliver long term reliability across every sector we serve.”

For resort developers and construction professionals, the booth also features an expanded display of SHERA products, including the new Shera Wide Grooves, which are valued for their moisture resistance and suitability for coastal architecture. SHERA Shingles are being promoted for resort projects, offering the look of traditional roofing with enhanced protection against salt spray, humidity and UV exposure.

“SHERA has become one of the most important materials for resort and coastal construction in the Maldives,” said Ali Fauzy. “Having the SHERA team here with us this year shows the strength of our partnership and our shared focus on supplying products that perform reliably in our climate.”

Steel Hardware is also showcasing RR Cable, for which it is the sole distributor in the Maldives. Manufactured in India and trusted by millions, RR Cable is approved by STELCO and recognised for its durability in local conditions. It has become an industry standard for wiring, reinforcing Steel Hardware’s position as a provider of complete, end to end building solutions.

With live demonstrations and technical guidance available throughout the expo, Steel Hardware’s booth has become a key stop for contractors, resort developers and homeowners looking for reliable, climate ready materials suited to Maldivian conditions.

As a Maldivian family owned business with years in the industry, Steel Hardware has built a reputation for consistency and trust, a standing reflected in the strong engagement at this year’s exhibition.
