SEVILLE, Spain — Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef joined international delegates at the opening of the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) on Monday in Seville, Spain, a gathering aimed at addressing global financial challenges and advancing sustainable development.

The event transitioned into its General Debate, where Heads of Delegation from nations worldwide shared their countries’ progress on financial development and articulated future objectives. VP Latheef, representing the Maldives, joined these discussions, emphasizing the nation’s commitment to sustainable growth.

Over the next few days, until July 3, the conference will host a series of side events and multistakeholder thematic roundtables. These sessions will tackle pressing topics, including reforms to the international financial architecture and enhanced development cooperation.
