Residents from eight more electoral constituencies can now sign up to meet face-to-face with President Dr Mohamed Muizzu under his direct public engagement series, Rayyithunge Adu (People’s Voice).
The President’s Office opened registration today for constituents in Ihavandhoo, Naifaru, Fonadhoo, Meedhoo, Villingili, Machangolhi South, Maamigili, and Thinadhoo North.
Those interested must register online via the dedicated portal (rayyithungeadu.presidency.gov.mv) before midnight on Monday, August 17.
Under the set guidelines, selected applicants will get a 10-minute sit-down with the president. They can bring along immediate family members—their spouse, one child, and a parent.
Meetings will be allocated based on request volume, total time available, and administrative scheduling. Registrants will be notified of their confirmed slot and date through their submitted contact details.
Attendees are allowed to discuss personal matters, institutional concerns, or broader public policy issues. However, the President’s Office emphasized that strict decorum must be maintained, warning that intimidation, foul language, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
President Muizzu first announced the initiative during PSM’s Nation Chat program, framing it as an effort to keep his administration directly accessible to the public. Applications were previously opened for an initial batch of eight constituencies, including Hulhumale’ North, Hulhudhoo, Hoarafushi, Hulhumale’ Central, Maafannu South, Ungoofaaru, Kelaa, and Fuvahmulah South.
